Samantha Mohr

Mohr was Mohr was a UGA student who entered her first pageant after being advised by a fellow student. She won Miss Columbus 1985. This win meant that Mohr qualified for her place in the Miss Georgia pageant which was held in June of 1985. Mohr was the winner on Saturday, June 22 on the 22nd of June in 1985. More than $3,500 was awarded Mohr with a scholarship as well as other prizes. When she was Miss Georgia, her activities included public appearances across the state of Georgia. Mohr participated as Georgia in Miss America 1986 in Atlantic City (New Jersey) in September 1985. Through computer-generated modeling, which successfully predicted the likelihood that Susan Akin would be named Miss America, Mohr's odds were calculated at 22: 1. Mohr wasn't a Top-10 finalist to win the title of national champion. Mohr has been Miss Georgia for a total of ten seasons, and was not crowned until Marlesa Bal, her successor in the title was elected Miss Georgia 1986, on June 28th June, 1986.
